- Enable the option “High-performance share counter storage.”
Once activated, the plugin automatically begins using the new high-speed table for all share data.
🔄 Migrating Existing Share Counters
If you already have share counters saved using the standard post meta storage, you’ll need to migrate your existing data to avoid losing any counts.
A built-in migration tool makes this process safe and simple:
- Navigate to Import/Export/Reset → Migrate & Update.
- Click Migrate under the “Migrate Share Counter Information” section.
- Once complete, the tool automatically enables the optimized storage option.
Important: Migration is one-way only. Once your data is stored in the optimized table, it cannot be reverted back to post meta storage. Be sure to verify the migration before using the “Clear Old Data” option, which permanently removes share counts from the post meta table.
